Dreaming Swan’ Ring
Dreaming Swan is an elegant statement ring made of highly polished platinum, 18ct rose gold and white diamonds. Representative of a swan at rest, the piece is produced by hand carving wax ensuring correct detail is given to the rows of feathers, making the piece comfortable and well balanced. Highlights are added by a spray of pave set white diamonds on the swans head contrasted against the rose gold of its beak. Rose gold is again used to form the interior shank, sweeping up one side of the piece enhanced by a row of grain set white diamonds. All metal used is 100% recycled in association with Harmony Metals at Hoover and Strong.
Anna’s inspiration came from a book on Japanese netsuke. She immediately loved the character of these miniature sculptures and thought it would be interesting to develop a collection that captured this compact ingenuity in wearable form. Anna chose to use the swan in her design not only for its sensual and pleasing form but also because of the serenity it symbolises. Anna's intention is to develop the design into a full collection with a percentage of sales being donated to the Red Cross fund for disaster relief.
Anna established Annaloucah Fine Jewellery in 2005 and has since specialised in creating design led pieces of bespoke jewellery for sale through private commission and retail shows. As part of her work with Livia Firth's Green Carpet Challenge and the Fair-trade Foundation Anna recently collaborated with CRED and created the world’s first Fair-trade Fair-mined Ecological gold jewellery worn by Livia to this year’s Oscars which went on to be auctioned in aid of Oxfam and fetching £25,000.
